Pakistan’s post-Hajj flight operation is set to begin on Tuesday, marking the return journey for thousands of pilgrims. Secretary Religious Affairs Dr. Syed Ata ur Rehman confirmed the launch while speaking from Makkah on Monday. The large-scale operation aims to transport over 88,000 Hujjaj under the government scheme back to Pakistan.

First Flights from Jeddah and Madinah

The operation will start with Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-732, which will depart from Jeddah to Islamabad, carrying 307 pilgrims. Another flight, PK-7030, is scheduled to leave from Madinah to Lahore on Thursday, also transporting 307 pilgrims.

These flights mark the beginning of a month-long effort to ensure the safe and organized return of Pakistani pilgrims after completing their spiritual journey.

362 Flights Planned for Return

He stated that arrangements have been made in coordination with Saudi authorities and Pakistani officials on the ground to support pilgrims during the entire process—from check-in at Saudi airports to arrival in Pakistan.

Special Arrangements for Smooth Transit

Elaborate logistics have been put in place to manage the high volume of travelers.

Dr. Ata ur Rehman also assured families in Pakistan that updates would be regularly shared, and helplines will remain active to answer queries. He noted that the success of the return process depends on coordination between ministries, airlines, and Saudi authorities.

The operation reflects Pakistan’s commitment to ensuring dignified and efficient service for its citizens during this sacred obligation.
