A deadly blast hit a school bus in Balochistan’s Khuzdar district on Wednesday morning. The explosion killed five people, including three children. Several others sustained injuries. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed the details in an official statement.

The blast occurred near Khuzdar Zero Point. The bus was carrying schoolchildren when it was targeted. Initial investigations suggest it was a suicide attack. Police and law enforcement agencies reached the site quickly. They collected evidence and launched a full-scale investigation.

Pakistan Blames Indian Proxies for Orchestrating Terror Attack

According to ISPR, the attack was carried out by Indian proxies operating in Balochistan. The statement described the incident as a “cowardly and ghastly” act. It accused India of using terrorism as state policy to destabilize Pakistan.

“Indian-backed terrorists targeted innocent schoolchildren,” the ISPR said. “Three children and two adults embraced martyrdom. Several others are injured,” it added.

The military vowed to bring the attackers to justice. “We will expose the true face of Indian-sponsored terrorism,” the ISPR declared. The forces, with public support, remain committed to eliminating terrorism.

Last month, ISPR Director General Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry warned of India’s attempts to intensify attacks. He had presented the arrest of a Pakistani trained by India as proof of state-backed terrorism. On Monday, ISPR reported the killing of 12 Indian proxy terrorists in operations across Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Deputy Commissioner Yasir Iqbal Dashti confirmed the blast details. He said the injured were taken to CMH Khuzdar. Serious cases will be shifted to Quetta and Karachi.

Leaders Condemned the Attack

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the attack strongly. “Terrorists attacking a school bus show clear enmity with education and peace,” he said. He called the attack a barbaric act and offered condolences to grieving families. “These terrorists have crossed all limits. The entire nation stands with the victims’ families,” he added.

President Asif Ali Zardari also denounced the attack. He termed it a “heinous and inhumane crime.” He pledged to expose Indian-backed terrorism at the global level. “These terrorists want to halt development in Balochistan,” the President said.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed deep sorrow. He condemned the brutal act. “No mercy should be shown to those who target children,” he said. “It’s a heinous conspiracy to destabilize Pakistan,” he added. Naqvi also prayed for the injured and vowed national unity against terrorism.

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti also issued a strong statement. He said they had prior intelligence of an Indian plot. “We didn’t expect them to stoop so low to target children,” Bugti told media. He promised to eradicate all terrorists from Balochistan.

Communications Minister Abdul Aleem Khan joined others in condemning the incident. “Attacking children is the height of cowardice,” he said.

Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind called it “the ugly face of Indian-sponsored terrorism.” He said India is trying to create unrest in the province to cover its own failures.

The country stands united in grief, but determined to resist all forms of terrorism.
