ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister’s Political Advisor Rana Sanaullah has declared that Pakistan is ready for an neutral investigation into the recent Pahalgam incident. He accused India of using the incident to fulfill “nefarious objectives” and intensify regional tensions.

Pakistan Demands Transparency

“We are ready for a neutral inquiry into the Pahalgam incident,” Rana Sanaullah asserted. He emphasized Pakistan’s willingness to cooperate with any credible effort to uncover the truth. “We would accept a joint investigation or even a third-party expert-led probe,” he added.

Rana Sanaullah questioned India’s narrative, calling its reporting of the attack inconsistent and suspicious. He pointed to irregularities in the sequence of events and said the timing of the incident hints at a “larger, pre-planned agenda.” He insisted that only a transparent investigation can reveal who truly orchestrated the “heinous act.”

India Accused of Destabilizing the Region

The advisor warned that India’s recent conduct is pushing the region toward dangerous instability. “India refuses to accept Pakistan’s existence and continues to act with hostility,” he said. He also condemned New Delhi’s decision to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty immediately after the Pahalgam incident.

“These steps are not just reactionary — they are premeditated,” he stated. “India is attempting to gain political mileage while diverting attention from its failure in Kashmir.”

Kashmir Struggle Cannot Be Suppressed

Rana Sanaullah said that despite heavy military deployment and years of crackdowns, India has failed to crush the freedom movement in Kashmir. “The people of Kashmir are still denied their basic right to self-determination,” he noted. “No amount of force or repression can extinguish their desire for independence.”

He stressed that Pakistan continues to stand by the Kashmiri people in their struggle and will raise the issue on all international platforms.

Pakistan’s Stance on Security

Commenting on Pakistan’s security strategy, the advisor said the country has always advocated for peace. “Pakistan will never initiate aggression,” he clarified, “but if provoked, we will respond with equal force and intensity.”

He also criticized Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for using anti-Pakistan rhetoric as a political tool. “Modi’s entire politics is built on hostility towards Pakistan. Such tactics aim to stir public emotions ahead of domestic elections,” Rana Sanaullah remarked.

Call for International Attention

Rana Sanaullah urged the global community to take note of India’s aggressive posture and support efforts for regional peace. He reiterated that Pakistan seeks truth and transparency, not conflict.

“India’s efforts to malign Pakistan are part of a larger agenda to shift blame and justify its repressive actions in Kashmir,” he concluded.
