Field Marshal Vows Swift Justice for Terrorism in Pakistan

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, reaffirmed Pakistan’s firm resolve to fight terrorism, declaring that all facilitators and perpetrators of terrorism will face justice. His statement came during a visit to Corps Headquarters in Peshawar, where he reviewed ongoing anti-terrorism operations and the security situation.

Tribute to Martyrs and Visit to Injured

During his visit, Field Marshal Munir also attended the funeral of the Shuhada of the Bannu Garrison attack. He later visited the injured soldiers at Bannu CMH, praising their bravery and sacrifice in the line of duty.

He lauded the determination of Pakistan’s security forces, especially those battling what he called the “Indian-sponsored Fitna-al-Khawarij.” He said the entire nation stands united with the armed forces in eliminating terrorism in all forms.

Support for Civilian Law Enforcement

Recognizing the need for institutional improvement, Field Marshal Munir emphasized boosting the capabilities of civilian law enforcement agencies, particularly the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police. He urged government stakeholders to prioritize this mission and assured that the Army will fully support these capacity-building efforts.
