The Israeli military carried out a series of deadly attacks across the Gaza Strip overnight, leaving dozens of Palestinians dead or injured. The raids targeted areas housing displaced civilians, schools, and residential homes — adding to the growing toll of civilian casualties in the ongoing war.
In the early hours of Saturday, a deadly Israeli airstrike hit a tent sheltering displaced Palestinians in al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis in southern Gaza. According to Nasser Hospital, at least four people were killed in the attack. The victims were among thousands of Palestinians who had sought refuge in what had been previously designated a “safe zone.”

In another incident, an Israeli air raid struck a school northwest of Gaza City that was sheltering displaced families. Local sources confirmed two Palestinians were killed, while several others sustained injuries. The school was part of a network of overcrowded shelters where many have fled to escape relentless bombardment.

Aid Seekers Targeted Near Distribution Center
Israeli forces also opened fire on Palestinians gathering near the Netzarim aid distribution centre in central Gaza. Sources at al-Awda Hospital confirmed that at least 10 people were wounded. The victims were reportedly waiting to receive urgently needed humanitarian aid.
This is not the first time Israeli forces have fired on crowds near aid points. The area around Netzarim — a military-controlled corridor — has seen repeated violence, even as civilians continue to gather there in desperation. Human rights organizations have condemned such incidents, calling them violations of international law and demanding accountability.
Many in Gaza say the targeting of aid seekers has created a climate of fear, where people are forced to choose between starvation and death by airstrike or gunfire.
Shelling in Northern Gaza Injures Families
Further north, in Jabalia al-Balad, Israeli forces shelled two residential homes late Friday night. Al-Aqsa TV reported that eight Palestinians were injured in the attack, including several children. The wounded were rushed to local clinics already overwhelmed by weeks of unrelenting conflict and limited medical supplies.
Jabalia, one of the most densely populated areas in Gaza, has been repeatedly targeted throughout the war. With nowhere safe left, families are moving from one destroyed neighborhood to another — only to face more violence.
The latest round of attacks highlights the worsening humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in Gaza. More than eight months into the conflict, large swathes of the enclave lie in ruins. Food, water, and medical access remain scarce, and many hospitals have ceased functioning entirely.
Despite growing international calls for a ceasefire, Israel has shown no signs of slowing its military campaign. For Gaza’s civilians, the promise of safety has become a cruel illusion — shattered night after night by bombs, bullets, and bloodshed.
