In a dramatic escalation of military tensions, the United States has reportedly struck Iran’s deeply buried Fordow nuclear facility with six massive bunker buster bombs. According to Fox News host Sean Hannity, who claimed to have spoken directly with former President Donald Trump shortly after the attack, the bombs were dropped by US Air Force B-52 strategic bombers.
Fordow, located near the holy city of Qom, is one of Iran’s most fortified and controversial nuclear enrichment sites. It was constructed deep underground, reportedly beneath nearly 80 meters of rock and soil. The use of bunker buster bombs — specifically designed to penetrate hardened targets — indicates a calculated and aggressive move by Washington to severely damage Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.
This marks one of the most significant US military actions against Iranian nuclear assets since the early 2000s and could trigger serious repercussions across the Middle East.
Natanz and Isfahan ‘Wiped Out’ by Tomahawk Missiles
In addition to the strike on Fordow, Hannity said that US forces also launched a devastating missile barrage on Iran’s Natanz and Isfahan nuclear sites. According to his report, 30 Tomahawk cruise missiles were fired from American submarines stationed approximately 400 miles away in an undisclosed location.
“These sites were wiped out,” Hannity said, claiming that the attack was aimed at halting Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Natanz has long been seen as a critical hub for uranium enrichment, while Isfahan is home to a uranium conversion facility — both considered essential elements in Iran’s controversial nuclear program.

The Pentagon has yet to officially confirm the details, but sources familiar with the operation suggest it was a preemptive strike designed to neutralize Iran’s nuclear capabilities amid growing fears of a full-scale regional war.
Iran Plays Down Damage, Confirms Evacuations
In response to the strikes, Iranian officials have confirmed that the targeted facilities were evacuated prior to the attacks. A member of Iran’s parliament stated that while the US assault on Fordow did cause damage, it was “not serious” and that critical components had already been removed or secured.
Iranian state media has largely downplayed the extent of the destruction, though satellite imagery and foreign intelligence reports are expected to reveal more in the coming days. Some Iranian analysts argue that the US attack may have been more symbolic than strategic — a warning shot rather than a decapitating blow.
Still, the timing and scale of the assault raise urgent questions. Is the US prepared for the fallout? How will Iran retaliate — diplomatically, militarily, or via proxy forces?
As the world watches nervously, the shadow war between Washington and Tehran appears to have entered a dangerous new phase. The coming days could determine whether this strike remains an isolated incident — or the beginning of something far more explosive.
