Mohammad Haris century powered Pakistan to a dominant seven-wicket victory over Bangladesh in the third T20I, completing a 3-0 series whitewash at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. Haris remained unbeaten on 107 off just 46 balls, steering Pakistan to a 197-run target with 16 balls to spare.

Early Pressure, Swift Recovery

Pakistan faced an early setback when Sahibzada Farhan fell cheaply. But Haris and Saim Ayub took charge, adding 92 runs in just 53 balls. Saim contributed a solid 45 off 29 balls, laced with four sixes and two boundaries. Their explosive stand took Pakistan to 104-2 at the 10-over mark.

Flurry of Boundaries

Hasan Nawaz kept up the momentum, hitting 26 from 15 balls, including two sixes and two fours, before departing in the 13th over. Needing 60 off the last seven overs, Haris and captain Salman Ali Agha accelerated the chase with aggressive strokes. They added 38 runs in three overs, putting the match out of Bangladesh’s reach.

Haris, who reached his half-century in 25 balls, needed just 21 more to complete his first T20I century. Though he missed the record for the fastest Pakistani T20I century by two balls, he still registered the second-fastest for the country. Salman struck the winning runs and remained unbeaten on 15.

Bangladesh Post Competitive Total

Earlier, Bangladesh posted 196-6 thanks to a 110-run opening stand between Parvez Hossain Emon and Tanzid Hasan. Parvez smashed 66 off 34 balls with seven fours and four sixes, while Tanzid added 42 off 32. However, Pakistan fought back with regular wickets after the openers’ dismissal.

Towhid Hridoy (25) and Litton Das (22) added a brief resistance. Jaker Ali and Tanzim Hasan chipped in late to push Bangladesh past 190. Mohammad Abbas Afridi and Hasan Ali took two wickets each.

Haris was named both Player of the Match and Player of the Series for scoring 179 runs and effecting five dismissals.
