Shaheen Shah Afridi has been named captain of the PSL X Team of the Tournament, following Lahore Qalandars’ championship win in the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League. The 12-member squad, announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), surprisingly excludes star batters Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan.
Champions Dominate the Squad
Afridi, who led Qalandars to a six-wicket victory over Quetta Gladiators in the final, also claimed the Fazal Mahmood Cap as the tournament’s top wicket-taker with 19 wickets in 13 matches.

Top Performers from Other Franchises
The Quetta Gladiators have three players in the squad.
Karachi Kings also placed three representatives on the list. Skipper David Warner, with 368 runs, leads the way, followed by opener James Vince (378 runs, including a century), and pacer Hasan Ali, who claimed 17 wickets in 10 games.
Rising and Consistent Talent Recognized
Islamabad United’s Sahibzada Farhan, who wore the Hanif Mohammad Cap for scoring the most runs (449) in the tournament, is the only player from his franchise to make the cut.
Peshawar Zalmi’s young pacer Ali Raza also earned a place after impressing with 12 wickets in nine games.
Khushdil Shah of Multan Sultans was named 12th man. He contributed with both bat (253 runs) and ball (seven wickets) in 11 appearances.
