The military operations chiefs of Pakistan and India will hold key talks on Monday. This comes after a ceasefire brought an end to the fiercest border clashes in nearly 30 years. Both sides are now expected to discuss the next steps for stability in the region.
Border Remains Calm After Ceasefire
For the first time in days, no explosions or shelling were reported overnight. The Indian Army confirmed that Sunday night remained peaceful along the Line of Control (LoC). However, some schools near the border remain closed as a precaution.
The calm followed intense firing over four days. The ceasefire, announced on Saturday, came after urgent international efforts. U.S. President Donald Trump played a major role in brokering the truce.

He explained that Pakistan’s radar systems detected the drones early. Defensive units responded swiftly, stopping any damage.
“This technology played a critical role in safeguarding lives,” he noted.
Pakistan Navy Remained on High Alert
Vice Admiral Rab Nawaz stated that the Navy stayed on high alert after India conducted a false flag operation. “We were fully prepared. Our naval forces took all necessary steps to prevent any surprise action,” he said.
He confirmed the Navy’s readiness and coordination with other branches of the military throughout the operation.
