The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that the remaining eight matches of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 will be relocated to the UAE. This decision comes after concerns over safety in the original venues of Rawalpindi, Multan, and Lahore. The updated schedule, including new venues and dates, will be shared soon.

Safety Concerns Prompt the Move

PCB Chair Mohsin Naqvi explained that the shift was in response to what he called an “irresponsible and dangerous Indian act” targeting Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Naqvi emphasized that the move was necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of both domestic and international players. “We have to protect our players, who are our valuable guests,” Naqvi said. He also stressed the importance of the players’ mental health, making this shift crucial for the continuation of the tournament.

Ensuring the Continuity of the League

Naqvi also noted that maintaining the tournament’s progress despite these challenges was a priority for the PCB. The board has faced adversities in the past and remains committed to ensuring that the PSL continues to thrive. “It is vital to safeguard the interests of cricket,” Naqvi added.
