Indian Prime Minister after coming to know that his Pakistani counterpart, Imran Khan, has contracted the covid-19 sent him best wishes on Saturday.
“Best wishes to Prime Minister Imran Khan for a speedy recovery from Covid-19,” Modi wrote on his official Twitter handle.

PM Imran had tested positive for Covid-19 earlier in the day, according to Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Health Services Dr Faisal Sultan.

The announcement came two days after the prime minister received a jab for covid-19. He had, though, just received the first dose of the vaccine and not the second. Dr. Sultan went on to say that the prime minister is now isolating himself at home.
The Premier was “not completely vaccinated” when he contracted coronavirus, according to the Ministry of National Health Services. Only the first dose was given, according to the ministry, which is “too soon for any vaccine to become safe.”
Many world leaders wished the prime minister well and wished him a speedy recovery. Christian Turner, the British High Commissioner to Pakistan, prayed for Prime Minister Imran Khan on Twitter.

The US Embassy in Islamabad’s Twitter account expressed its condolences to Prime Minister Imran Khan and his family.

The French Embassy in Pakistan’s official Twitter account and Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong both wished the premier a swift recovery.

As the third wave of the pandemic sweeps through Pakistan, at least 3,876 confirmed cases of Covid-19 were recorded on Saturday, the highest number in eight months. In the last 24 hours, the virus has claimed the lives of at least 42 people in the world.
