
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar’s three-day visit to China signals Pakistan’s strong commitment to its strategic partnership with Beijing. According to Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning, the visit underscores Islamabad’s intent to deepen long-term cooperation and accelerate bilateral efforts across key sectors.
Strengthening All-Weather Cooperation
Speaking at a regular press briefing in Beijing, Mao described China and Pakistan as “all-weather strategic cooperative partners.” She stressed the importance of high-level exchanges and strong collaboration in building a shared future.
“China is ready to work with Pakistan to implement the important understandings reached between their leaders,” Mao said. She highlighted the desire to boost strategic communication and foster deeper people-to-people and government-level ties.

Support for Regional Peace
Touching on regional developments, Mao reiterated China’s neutral position in India-Pakistan tensions. She emphasized that Beijing advocates for dialogue, calm, and restraint from both sides to prevent any escalation.
She also welcomed the ceasefire agreement between the two South Asian rivals, calling it a step in the right direction. China, she said, remains willing to help both nations work toward lasting peace.
Shared Vision for the Future
Dar’s visit includes multiple high-level meetings focused on strengthening cooperation in economic development, security collaboration, and regional diplomacy. Both sides are expected to advance key projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), along with joint efforts in energy, infrastructure, and investment.
