Israel Systematically Targeting Hospitals in Gaza
Israeli PM Offers Deal to Stop War

Gaza’s health system has reached a breaking point as Israel continues to systematically target the hospitals. The health ministry announced today that all public hospitals in northern Gaza are now out of service.
“The Israeli occupation has intensified its siege around the Indonesian hospital,” the ministry said. The facility is under heavy fire. Patients, staff, and medical supplies cannot reach the building.
Marwan al-Sultan, the hospital’s director, reported that anyone attempting to move is being shot at. “We can no longer provide services to patients,” he said.
Israeli PM Offers Deal to Stop War
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has signaled that Israel is open to ending the war in Gaza. His office released a statement confirming ongoing negotiations with Hamas. The talks are taking place in Doha, Qatar.
The proposal includes several conditions. These include the release of all hostages, the exile of Hamas leaders, and full disarmament of the Gaza Strip. “Even at this moment, the negotiation team in Doha is working to exhaust every possibility for a deal,” Netanyahu’s office said.

The statement added that Israel had already secured the release of 197 hostages. Fifty-eight are still in captivity. Officials stressed that Israel would continue efforts to bring them home.
No Breakthrough Yet in Doha Talks
Despite the statements of intent, progress remains slow. A senior Israeli official confirmed that the talks have yielded little so far. Hamas has reportedly rejected any partial ceasefire without a complete Israeli withdrawal from Gaza.
Israeli officials are also considering a more aggressive plan. It involves seizing more territory in Gaza and relocating large numbers of Palestinians to the south. This step, critics say, could lead to ethnic cleansing.
New Offensive Launched: ‘Gideon’s Chariots’
Meanwhile, Israel has launched a new ground offensive. Codenamed “Gideon’s Chariots,” the campaign aims to pressure Hamas into accepting a deal.
According to Israeli sources, the operation also seeks to gain control over the distribution of humanitarian aid. The military wants to use this as leverage to pressure Hamas.
But Hamas has rejected such strategies. It demands a permanent ceasefire and full Israeli withdrawal before any deal can be finalized.
Rising Death Toll
The Gaza health ministry reported 464 deaths in Israeli strikes over the past week alone. The total death toll since the beginning of the war now stands at 53,339.
An additional 1,418 Palestinians have been wounded from May 11 to May 17.
More than 100 people have been killed since dawn today, making it one of the deadliest days in recent weeks.
Targeting of Hospitals Continues
The Gaza health ministry accused Israel of deliberately targeting hospitals. “This is part of a systematic campaign,” it stated.
Hospitals that once served as places of refuge are now turning into battlegrounds. Several medical centers have been attacked or surrounded in recent days.
Doctors are warning of mass casualties if this pattern continues. “The destruction of our health infrastructure is a death sentence for thousands,” said one senior medic in Gaza.
Missile from Yemen Intercepted
In a separate development, Israel reported intercepting a missile fired from Yemen. The attack, carried out by the Houthi rebels, reportedly targeted Ben Gurion airport.
Israeli military sources said the interception was successful and no damage occurred. The Houthis have previously expressed solidarity with Palestinians and launched attacks on Israel since the war began.
Ceasefire Proposals Discussed in Qatar
Over the weekend, negotiators met in Qatar to discuss a potential ceasefire. The talks, facilitated by U.S. and Qatari officials, focused on a multi-phase plan.
The initial phase proposed a temporary halt in fighting and the release of hostages. Later phases would include reconstruction efforts and a political roadmap for Gaza.
Hamas demands a full Israeli withdrawal and international guarantees before any progress. Israel insists on Hamas disarmament and exile of its leadership.
Funerals Held for Victims
In Khan Younis, southern Gaza, mourners gathered at Nasser Hospital. They held funeral prayers for victims of today’s airstrikes.
Dozens of bodies wrapped in white shrouds were lined up in the hospital courtyard. Families wept over the coffins of children, women, and elderly men.
“We lost everything,” one grieving father said. “Our home is gone. Our family is shattered. And the world watches in silence.”
International Response
Global reactions remain mixed. Some countries have condemned Israel’s attacks on hospitals and civilians. Others, including the U.S., continue to support Israel’s right to self-defense.
Human rights organizations have called for an immediate ceasefire. They are urging the international community to intervene.
“There must be an end to this bloodshed,” said Amnesty International in a statement. “The targeting of civilians and medical facilities is a violation of international law.”
