Urban Flooding Risk Increases

The PDMA has issued an alert for urban flooding in major cities including Lahore, Sialkot, Gujranwala, and Faisalabad. City administrations and WASA teams are on high alert and have been directed to ensure quick drainage from low-lying areas to prevent water accumulation and property damage.

Emergency Measures and Public Warnings

PDMA’s control rooms and district emergency centers are operational 24/7 to monitor the evolving situation. The government has imposed a complete ban on bathing in rivers, canals, and storm drains. Strict action will be taken against violators.

Citizens are advised to stay indoors during severe weather, avoid electric wires and poles, and limit travel. In case of emergencies, they are urged to contact the PDMA helpline at 1129 for assistance.
