Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, speaking on Pakistan-India dialogue, stressed that peace will remain out of reach unless both nations return to the negotiating table. Addressing a press conference in Brussels on Saturday, the former foreign minister emphasized that only diplomacy—not war—can solve regional disputes, especially Kashmir.
Call for Talks and Diplomacy
Leading a parliamentary delegation, Bilawal reiterated Pakistan’s desire for peaceful engagement. “War is not a solution. Pakistan wants peace,” he stated firmly. Despite both nations being nuclear-armed, he warned that tensions have only worsened without open dialogue.
Bilawal underscored that resolving the Kashmir issue requires meaningful negotiations. “Pakistan believes in comprehensive talks. Unfortunately, India continues to avoid the dialogue process,” he said.
Water Dispute Sparks Warning
Bilawal also condemned recent Indian statements hinting at disrupting Pakistan’s water supply. “India’s threat to block water is not only reckless but a clear provocation,” he said. He cautioned that any such move would trigger a decisive response from Pakistan.

Peace Remains Incomplete
Referring to South Asia’s past conflicts, he said, “War may have ended, but real peace has never been achieved.” Bilawal noted that despite several wars, the core issues between India and Pakistan—especially Kashmir—remain unresolved.
Offer of Cooperation on Pahalgam Incident
He also mentioned the recent Pahalgam incident and offered transparency. “We are ready for an impartial investigation and full cooperation with India,” Bilawal said.
Kashmir a Global Issue, Not Internal
Bilawal reminded the global community that Kashmir is still listed on the UN Security Council’s agenda. “Kashmir is not just India’s internal matter—it’s an unresolved international dispute,” he asserted.
Ending his remarks, he urged international stakeholders to encourage dialogue. “True peace in South Asia is only possible through sustained and honest Pakistan-India dialogue,” he concluded.
