Gaza: The Israeli military confirmed on Thursday that one of its tank commanders was seriously injured during ground operations in northern Gaza. The incident triggered a swift and deadly military response.

According to a statement by the Israeli army, troops advanced immediately after the commander was hit. Within four minutes, soldiers claimed they had “eliminated terrorists” in the area.

Airstrikes Follow Ground Assault

Following the ground response, Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes in the same zone. The army said the aerial bombing aimed to target more Palestinian fighters. However, local reports from Gaza suggest that civilians were among the casualties.

The exact number of those killed in the strikes remains unclear. Rescue teams continue to search through rubble in the affected areas of northern Gaza.

Army Vows to Expand Ground Invasion

The Israeli military declared that its ground invasion will keep expanding. It said the operations are vital “to protect the security of Israeli civilians.”

Northern Gaza remains one of the most heavily targeted areas. Dozens of neighborhoods have been flattened since Israel launched its latest offensive.

Tensions remain high as Israeli forces push deeper into Gaza’s residential zones. Clashes continue between Israeli soldiers and Palestinian resistance groups.

Palestinian Sources Deny Israeli Claims

Palestinian media and local eyewitnesses deny that only militants were targeted. They say many of those killed in the strikes were unarmed civilians, including women and children.

Human rights observers have raised concerns over the military’s use of force. They call for independent investigations into all recent Israeli attacks in Gaza.

Fighting Intensifies Across Gaza Strip

Israeli forces continue to advance in multiple directions. Southern and central Gaza also face regular bombardments. Airstrikes and artillery shelling have left thousands displaced.

The war has now entered its seventh month. Humanitarian groups warn of a worsening crisis, with hospitals running out of supplies and shelters overcrowded with families.

No End in Sight

Despite international pressure, the Israeli government says it will continue military operations until its security objectives are achieved. Meanwhile, Palestinian officials accuse Israel of carrying out collective punishment.

Both sides report casualties daily. Gaza’s health ministry says over 35,000 people have died since October.

Calls for a ceasefire grow louder, but violence on the ground shows no signs of stopping.
