Israel Bombs 100 Gaza Targets in 24 Hours, Over 70 Palestinians Killed

The Israeli military claimed on Saturday that its fighter jets struck 100 targets across Gaza in the past 24 hours.

According to the army, one of the key targets was a rocket launcher used to fire at southern Israel yesterday. The statement also said the airstrikes hit underground tunnels, command centers, and infrastructure allegedly used by Palestinian fighters.

Dozens Killed in Nonstop Bombardment

Palestinian health officials reported that more than 70 people were killed across Gaza during this wave of Israeli attacks. Many of the victims were civilians, including women and children. Residential areas in central and northern Gaza suffered heavy bombardment throughout the night.

Eyewitnesses described a terrifying scene as buildings collapsed and emergency workers struggled to pull survivors from the rubble.

This is part of a broader offensive under the operation Gideon’s Chariots. Israel’s aim, according to officials, is to gain total control over Gaza by eliminating what it calls “terror infrastructure.”

International condemnation continues to build. Rights groups and humanitarian organizations have called the attacks indiscriminate and disproportionate. They warn that such operations amount to collective punishment of an entire population.

Aid Blocked as Starvation Spreads

Meanwhile, humanitarian aid remains restricted. Only a trickle of supplies is allowed into Gaza, and those are often limited to the southern areas. Martin Griffiths, the former head of UN humanitarian affairs, called the situation “weaponisation of aid.”

He said the aid strategy is designed to force people to relocate, describing it as “aid with displacement and victimisation.”
