Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is set to begin weekly Lahore-Paris flights, offering passengers non-stop travel between Pakistan and France. The inaugural flight is scheduled to depart on June 18, marking a significant step in PIA’s return to European skies.

Weekly Flights Without Layovers

The airline announced that it will operate direct flights from Lahore to Paris every Wednesday. This new route is part of PIA’s strategy to reconnect with European destinations following a four-and-a-half-year suspension.

“PIA’s first direct flight to Paris from Lahore will depart on June 18,” the carrier stated. These weekly non-stop flights aim to serve both leisure and business travelers, as well as the Pakistani diaspora in Europe.

Return to Europe After Ban Lifted

The move comes months after the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) lifted a ban imposed in 2020. That ban followed a pilot licensing scandal that had raised safety concerns. PIA resumed its European operations in January, with a flight from Islamabad to Paris on January 10.

Boosting Revenue and Confidence

Officials hope the Lahore-Paris flights will enhance customer confidence and boost the airline’s earnings. However The direct route is expected to attract passengers looking for more convenient travel options between Pakistan and France.

Next Steps for Travelers

PIA plans to announce ticket prices and booking details in the coming days. However Aviation experts emphasize that PIA’s long-term success in Europe will depend on consistent safety standards and operational transparency.

This new route signals not just expansion, but also a test of PIA’s ability to meet international expectations and serve a global market once again.
