Israeli Protesters Block Aid Crossing to Gaza Amid Ongoing Conflict

A group of Israeli protesters gathered at the Karem Abu Salem crossing, known in Israel as Kerem Shalom. They blocked trucks carrying aid meant for Gaza. This was reported by Israel’s Arutz Sheva media.
Reut Ben Haim, one of the protesters, called the aid delivery an “unimaginable injustice.” She said that while Hamas holds Israeli captives, aid should not reach Gaza. “We cannot stand idly by while this harm to our hostages continues,” she said before police arrested her.
Another protester, Asriel Machlev, called allowing aid into Gaza “national suicide.” He vowed to continue protesting. “Every truck that enters the Strip prolongs the war,” Machlev said. “It’s time to say: Until the hostages are home, no aid. We’ll be here every week, hundreds of reservists, to physically stop this insane move.”

Aid Limited Despite Blockade Promise
Israel had promised to allow some aid into Gaza after a nearly three-month blockade. However, only a few aid trucks have been allowed through. The United Nations and human rights groups have accused Israel of using hunger as a weapon against Palestinians.
Half a million Palestinians face starvation risks due to the blockade. Aid organizations warn of a growing humanitarian crisis. Food, water, and medical supplies remain scarce in Gaza.
Israeli authorities say the blockade is necessary for security. They claim Hamas uses resources from aid for military purposes. The situation remains tense, with ongoing clashes and diplomatic efforts.
