While central Karachi may stay dry, surrounding localities are likely to experience gusty winds and thunder later in the day.
Hot and Humid Conditions Predicted
The overall forecast for Karachi remains hot and humid over the next 24 hours. Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 35 and 37 degrees Celsius. On Thursday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 28°C, with humidity levels at 72%. Dry winds are blowing from the east at a speed of 6 kilometres per hour.
Peripheral Regions Bracing for Storms
While central Karachi may remain unaffected, the PMD has cautioned that peripheral regions could face thunderstorms and gusty winds later today. The city’s outskirts are expected to see fluctuating weather patterns as the day progresses.

Balochistan Under Threat of Hailstorms and Strong Winds
In Balochistan, the weather conditions are set to intensify. The Met Office has forecast rain, hailstorms, and strong winds across various districts, including Kalat, Sibi, Barkhan, and Kohlu. Other regions such as Quetta, Chaman, and Ziarat are also at risk of sudden weather changes. Some areas may experience heavy rainfall combined with hail and gusty winds.
Temperatures Across Balochistan
On Thursday, maximum temperatures in Balochistan reached 43°C in Sibi and Nokundi, 41°C in Turbat, and 34°C in Quetta and Gwadar. The PMD warns that weather patterns could change rapidly, making it essential for residents to stay informed.
Authorities have urged everyone, especially in at-risk areas, to remain cautious and stay updated on weather developments.
