PSL 2025: Vince Leads Karachi Kings as Sultans Crash Out

Share the latest news updates

In a one-sided Karachi Kings vs Multan Sultans encounter, James Vince powered Kings to a thumping 87-run win, knocking Sultans out of PSL 2025. Vince’s unbeaten 65 and strong cameos from David Warner and Khushdil Shah helped Kings post 204 for 4, before Multan collapsed to 117 in Lahore.

Kings Dominate With the Bat

After the venue was shifted from Multan to Lahore, Karachi Kings made the most of the change. Warner launched the attack early, smashing Michael Bracewell for 24 runs in one over before falling for a brisk 30 off 13 balls. A quick collapse followed, but Vince and Irfan Khan rebuilt with a composed 78-run stand.

Despite early breakthroughs, Sultans’ bowling lacked discipline. Vince punished the bowlers relentlessly, reaching fifty after a dropped catch by Usama Mir. Khushdil joined the assault late in the innings, smashing an unbeaten 33 from just 13 balls. Their final push added 45 runs in the last 14 balls, lifting Kings beyond the 200 mark.

Sultans Collapse in Reply

Multan’s chase fell apart quickly. Skipper Mohammad Rizwan fell for a duck, while poor shot selection haunted Usman and Yasir Khan. Despite Curtis Campher’s brief counterattack that helped them reach 53 by the powerplay, Sultans’ innings never stabilized.

Soon after, the batting line-up crumbled. They lost five wickets for just 14 runs, sinking to 90 for 9. Mohammad Nabi wreaked havoc in the middle overs, claiming three crucial wickets, including Bracewell and Willey in consecutive balls. Khushdil Shah and Mir Hamza wrapped up the final blows.

A Brutal Exit for Multan

With Ubaid Shah’s dismissal as the last wicket, Sultans’ forgettable campaign came to a tame end. Their fielding errors, weak partnerships, and tactical flaws all added up. Meanwhile, Karachi Kings, with solid leadership and sharp execution, march ahead confidently in PSL 2025.

The gulf between the sides was glaring — and Kings made sure it showed on the scoreboard.
