The decision was made during a recent cabinet session. This flexibility ensures critical services continue uninterrupted during the festive period.
Government offices will reopen on Tuesday, June 10.

Significance of Eidul Adha
Eidul Adha, also known as the “Festival of Sacrifice,” commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son Isma’il in obedience to God’s command. Traditionally, the festival begins with congregational prayers at mosques, followed by the ritual of Qurbani—sacrificing a goat, sheep, or cow.

This sets May 28 as the first day of Dhu al-Hijjah.
The Day of Arafat—considered one of the most spiritually significant days in Islam—will fall on Thursday, June 5. Eidul Adha will be celebrated the next day, on Friday, June 6.
