PM Vows to Crush Terrorism as Pakistan Advances on

Amid growing national unity and economic momentum, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has doubled down on his government’s anti-terrorism efforts in Pakistan, declaring an unwavering resolve to eliminate terrorism once and for all.

A Firm Pledge Against Terrorism

“We will continue our Jihad against terrorism with full force,” PM Shehbaz said. “The terrorists will be dealt such a blow that they will never again dare look at Pakistan with malice.”

He commended the tireless work of national security forces and officers who continue to risk and sacrifice their lives for peace. Stressing the need for unity, the Prime Minister urged political and institutional collaboration to overcome this common threat.

Boosting Provincial and National Security

Shehbaz Sharif praised both provincial governments and federal agencies for their decisive actions and pledged the center’s full support to strengthen their capacity. He also emphasized the critical need to intensify operations against human traffickers and smugglers. According to the Prime Minister, the government is tightening the noose around these networks to ensure justice.

In his directives, PM Shehbaz called for the early completion of Safe City projects across all major urban centers. These projects are central to surveillance and early threat detection.

Key Initiatives Underway

Officials briefed the Prime Minister on several developments.

The Safe City project is already functional in ten cities of Punjab and is under implementation in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Mirpurkhas, and Nawabshah.  The Gwadar Safe City project is nearing completion, with plans to replicate similar systems along major national highways such as N-25 and N-40.

Cracking Down on Illegal Activities

PM Shehbaz’s government is also targeting criminal mafias exploiting urban vulnerabilities. A nationwide crackdown is ongoing against organized begging rings, with steps taken to restrict their foreign travel.

On the forensic front, a dedicated Forensic Science Agency has been established in Islamabad. Meanwhile, the Punjab Forensic Science Agency is undergoing major upgrades to enhance investigative capacity.

National Leadership in Action

The high-level meeting brought together federal ministers, advisors, chief secretaries, inspectors general of police, and other top officials from across the country. Their presence reflected a unified approach toward addressing internal security challenges and delivering on the promise of a safer Pakistan.
