Peoples Bus Service is a transport service inaugurated by the Sindh government on 27 June 2022. Almost 250 buses run across Karachi, Hyderabad, and Larkana.
The Sindh Cabinet held a meeting presided over by Chief Minister, Murad Ali Shah and Transport Minister, Sharjeel Memon. The Transport Minister mentioned that there is a need to introduce more buses in Karachi.
The Chief Minister approved the proposal and the Sindh Cabinet approved an amount of Rs 1.7 billion to purchase 43 more 12-meter hybrid buses.
Murad Ali Shah ordered the release of the amount immediately for purchasing 43 more buses. All of the air-conditioned buses are imported from China.
More than 100 buses are operated in Karachi, 10 in Hyderabad, and 6 buses in Larkana. Now the numbers will increase for different areas of Sindh.
