Umer Sharif, a legendary Pakistani actor and comedian, was airlifted from a private hospital to the airport by an air medical team.
According to Civil Aviation authorities, the ailing comedian will fly to the United States for medical treatment today.
According to reports, the air ambulance carrying Umer would left Karachi for the United States between 11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. today.
Umer’s flight was postponed earlier on Sunday after physicians indicated the next 48 hours are essential for his health.
Zareen Umer, actor’s wife will be travelling with her husband, has also arrived at the airport.
After his health deteriorated on Sunday, hours before his flight to the United States, he was sent to the intensive care unit of a private hospital.
