Covid-19’s third wave, 118 more died in a day

The global epidemic Coronavirus has led to 118 more deaths in Pakistan, while 4,318 new cases have been reported.

According to the National Command and Operations Center, the total number of deaths from corona in Pakistan has reached 15,619, while the total number of affected people has reached 729,920.

The number of active cases across the country is 76,034 and 638,267 people have recovered from covid.

The highest number of deaths due to corona was in Punjab where 7,062 people lost their lives, while 4,530 in Sindh, 2,683 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 617 in Islamabad, 103 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 217 in Balochistan and Azad Kashmir. 407 people have lost their lives.

The number of covid cases in Islamabad is 66,983, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 1,275, Punjab 252,974, Sindh 269,474, Balochistan 20,397, Azad Kashmir 14,687 and Gilgit-Baltistan 5,130 have been affected cases.

Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Bahawalpur, Mandi Bahauddin, Multan, Okara, Rahim Yar Khan, Rawalpindi, Gujarat, Sheikhupura, Sargodha, Sialkot, Toba Tek Singh Affected, Muzaffarabad, Mirpur, Kotli, Peshawar, Swat, Nowshera, Dir Lower, Malakand, Swabi, Charsadda and Haripur are among the high-risk districts affected from the virus.

The vaccination for Covid-19 is underway in Pakistan and in the second phase, people over the age of 60 are being vaccinated.

Adult vaccination centers have been set up across the country and the entire vaccination process will be controlled by digital mechanisms.

189 vaccination centers have been built in Punjab and 14 in Sindh, while 280 vaccination centers have been set up in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 44 in Balochistan, and 14 in Islamabad. Vaccination is being carried out through 25 centers in Azad Kashmir and 16 centers in Gilgit-Baltistan
