Pakistan: 45 died, 2432 more diagnosed with COVID-19

Karachi: On 16 January 2432 more people were diagnosed with the coronavirus and 45 people died of the deadly virus in Pakistan.

According to statistics published by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 42,422 tests of the Covid 19 were administered across the country in the last 24 hours while the total number of tests conducted in the country reached 7326431 so far.

According to official stats, 2,432 cases of Covid have been reported across the country, bringing out the total number of confirmed cases of corona patients in the country to 516,770.

The province most affected by the pandemic is Sindh province where the number of confirmed patients of Corona has reached 233,396 while in Punjab it is 148,488.

62,996 people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 18,537 in Balochistan, 39,888 in Islamabad, 8,583 in Azad Kashmir, and 4,882 in Gilgit-Baltistan have so far been diagnosed with the virus.

The second wave of the corona is gradually declining in the country, but the total number of active patients with the epidemic is still 33,763 and 2,334 are said to be in critical condition.
