Karachi: The challan of Abid Malhi, the main accused in the motorway abuse case, and his accomplices, has not been produced yet nonetheless cash rewards have been delivered to police personnel.

According to IG Punjab Police Inam Ghani, the main accused, Abid Malhi, in the motorway abuse case has himself arrested.

According to details, Inam Ghani has distributed cash prizes, Rs. 2.5 million, to 40 police officers.

The motorway-gang rape case was a challenge for the police department and the accused were arrested in a short period of time owing to their remarkable teamwork, according to Inam Ghani.

Punjab police teams ensured the arrest of the accused with the help of modern technology, he added.

After fleeing for a month, Abid Malhi, the main accused was arrested from Manga Mandi near Lahore.

Regarding the arrest of Abid Malhi, according to his parents, Malhi had himself yet police assert that he had been detained with the help of modern technology.

However, Abid Malhi’s partner Shafqat was already been in police custody, he also confessed to the crime. The offender Abid is shifted to Lahore after his arrest, where the victim identified him and co-accused Shafqat.
